That’s my hard work this week. I love the new style my work has evolved into. I think my last picture/post (TripTych) shows how it changed mid-picture.

🙂 Finished my TripTych measuring 370mm X 260mm on A3 paper. It took about 120 hours and I’m really proud of the end result and a little surprised. Some Solar system data, star correlations, ancient symbolism, megaliths, paranormal activity and some sacred building blocks. ❤

Symbolic Architecture: The Dolem.

Dolem.

This is my tribute to “Pi Day” symbolically represented by The Dolem. Another beautiful, ritually aligned, stone structure. It’s comprised of Dogon cosmological symbols I’m been playing with and really is just a doodle. Yes it’s a day late, Pi day was yesterday, but this is a very quiet website..I’m sure no one noticed. 🙂

Kits Coty.

Me at my local dolem “Kits Coty”, Kent, England.

Imagine if Universes are born in pairs.

C Doodling Dogon Style. Apparently Dogon cosmology says that Universes are born in pairs. One physical (hello!) and one none physical. So in ours we experience time and in theirs because they are infinitesimally small, do not experience time. They have perfect knowledge but no ability to create. Whereas we have the ability to create but imperfect knowledge. Such a cool concept. Ancient Dogon Cosmology and it’s better than our Science fiction. So it makes me wonder if all the various paranormal phenomena we experience are different kinds of interaction between a physical Universe and a non-physical Universes. Simple as that?

I also wonder if “the others” wear massive fedora hats and black capes. And all they can do is appear at the bottom of my bed and just stare.

Symbolic Architecture: The Stupa

Stupa.

🙂 Continuing my Symbolism and Cosmological studies, by which I mean diving into the work of Laird Scranton, I’ve spent the last couple of days working on this. It’s called a Stupa. A stone structure from India, an aligned ritual shrine and thousands of years old.

When I saw a picture of this Stupa in Sanchi for the first time recently, it really stopped me in my tracks.  So I thought I would draw it, so I would never forget it. It’s so perfect and beautiful and the oldest stone structure in India. ❤

The picture above is 2 days into the picture and then inverting it. The other is the completed picture which I finished yesterday. (On Laird Scrantons birthday no less! Coincidence? I. think. not.)

Even though I am using these pictures to help me understand and remember what I am learning if you would like to buy the original or a print of the completed picture you can. The support would be greatly appreciated not to mention desperately needed.

Inspired by a previous golden age, their symbolic language and the megalithic builders.

The Seven Stages of Po Pilu.

PoPilu1I get really inspired reading the works of Laird Scranton. I’m currently reading “The Cosmological Origins of Myth and Symbol”. These fineline drawings are a way for me to remember what I’m reading. 🙂

…the Dogon say that, conceptually, prior to existing as particles, matter exists as primordial threads being woven into matter, each thread passing through a series of 7 vibrations inside a tiny egg. The Po Pilu and it’s likely counterpart, the tiny, wrapped up bundles of seven dimensions in Torsion theory called Calabi-Yau Space.

☼-This is what a head full of symbols looks like. Mine anyway. Including the outrageous tinittus. A 2 day doodle (inverted). Placed firmly in the centre of good quality A3 paper, (just incase it looked good). Free now to expand it into……

New Artwork: ☼-Sacred Symbols.

Sacred Symbols.

Created 9th Febuary 9th 2015.

Dimensions 560mm X 374mm.

Inspired and drawn whilst reading “Sacred Symbols of the Dogon” by Laird Scranton. This is a close up. Really tricky trying to photo the full picture and do the detail some justice. I’m working on it. 🙂

“The Granary”. Completed on the 14th July is one of my favourite creations and definately my largest at 500mm X 365mm. It took about 2 weeks to complete and about 3 or 4 fineliners! Every seed of life design, all 166 of them are unique. I’m 99.9% sure of that!

The original is now on it’s way to illinois, U.S. 🙂 I’m so glad, and proud to of sold it this week, and the best bit is I can buy some new fineliners and even buy some prints of the above picture to make available for anyone who’d like one.
